God sent His Word to heal you, and His Word works. He
keeps His Word! Your healing may be instant or it may be
some time before you can see and feel the total physical
effects of God’s healing power. So don’t let doubts arise
just because you don’t see immediate results and don’t let
lingering symptoms discourage you. After all, when you go
to the doctor, do you immediately begin to feel better? No,
the medication he gives you usually takes some time before it
begins to work. In the same way, the effects of divine healing
may not appear instantly either. It may take time for you to
feel completely healed.
So, what do you do in the meantime? Exercise your faith!
Here’s how:
- Make God’s Word the final authority.
The Word says that by the stripes of Jesus you were healed
(1 Peter 2:24). - Refuse to believe what you see and feel.
Only believe the Word. - Refuse doubt and unbelief.
When the devil whispers doubt and unbelief into your
mind, deal with those thoughts immediately. Cast them
down; don’t dwell on them. - Meditate God’s Word.
Keep your mind fixed on the promises. - Cast your care upon the Lord.
The devil will try to use anxiety over your situation to
choke the Word in your heart so that the promises will
become unfruitful (Mark 4:19). - Praise God for your healing!
Praising God before you see a manifestation is the highest
form of faith. - Don’t waver.
James said that the person who wavers in his faith should
not expect to receive anything from the Lord (James 1:6-7). - Never let go!
No matter what happens, continue to stand on God’s Word
for your healing. - Listen to the Word!
One of the main methods of keeping your mind renewed
to the Word is to listen to the Word on tape, CD, video
or DVD. - Confess the Word concerning your healing.
It is difficult to believe that you are healed if you are constantly talking about your sickness. Speak only words that
are in agreement with God’s will for your healin
