12 Definition of Faith Learned from the Book “Exploits of Faith by Bishop David Oyedepo”

I had read this book like two times before this time. I decided to calm down and read it and glean a lot of inspirations and empowerment from it. Anybody that want to build a good life ; be it ministry, business, career, home must build his or her faith to succeed. Dreams are always sweet when they are in your head. However, fulfilling those dreams come not cheaply. There are obstacles you must overcome, lessons to learn and knowledge to gain to move from one point to another. This is the reason i took my time to read this book slowly so I can build my faith to build my destiny.

Here are the 12 Definitions of Faith i learned from the Exploits of Faith book written by my spiritual father and mentor “Bishop David Oyedepo”

1. Faith is an Expression of Confidence in God : According to Hebrews 10 verse 35, Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. Trusting in the Lord is the strongest faith. In the face of adversity, putting your confidence in God and in His Word will pay off big time.
2. Faith is an Act motivated by the Word of God : Faith is an act. Jesus told the servants at the wedding of Cana in Galilee – fill the water pots with water and when they obeyed, the unexpected miracle was birthed.
3. Faith is a Translating Force : Everything in life answers to Bible faith. If you want your situation in life to be transformed to the better, then Faith is required. The Bible says – The Just shall live by Faith.
4. Faith is A Handle-able Force : When you hold faith, you will know. When you are walking in faith, it’s something tangible that can be felt. Taking the shield of faith… That means Faith is a take-able force you can hold in your spiritual hand to quench all the fiery darts of the enemy.
5. Faith is the Victory: Whosoever is born of God overcomes world, and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. Nothing can subdue faith, it’s faith that neutralize and subdue contrary situations. We can subdue kingdoms by faith, so small small things should not be overriding us.
6. Faith is a Force: It’s a spiritual force. For example, the woman with the issue of blood touched the hem of Jesus’s garment and living virtues was transmitted in to her body for her total healing. It’s a force you can connect to.
7. Faith is Obeying God: A lot of people just think faith is only believing God for something. Our God is the commander in Chief of both the seen and the unseen Universe. So, a lot if times, His recommendation that will solve the lingering issues is our lives comes through Instructions. It takes the Spirit of Obedience to connect to the force of Faith that will birth a miracle for us. For example, Abraham was instructed to get out of his Father’s house at the age of 75 years old and he obeyed. This first obedience set the pace for his destiny. Abraham never knew where God was taking him to, nevertheless, he obeyed.

9. Faith is Reasoning with God : We need a lot of meditation to access the deep things of God – Dr. David Oyedepo
10. Faith is Seeing it the Way God sees it : It’s as far as your eyes can see that will be given unto you.
11. Faith is Power Point : I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the POWER of God unto salvation, to everyone that BELIEVES – Romans 1 verse 16. Your faith connect you to the power of God. Just like the power in the dam is the one running the appliances in your home but there are power points that connect the damn to you, so also is faith. there are levels of faith, and if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you shall SAY to this mountain, be thou removed. We need to keep building our faith and keep declaring the Word of God to those circumstances of life. Jesus said unto him, if thou can believe, all things are possible to him that believe – Mark 9 verse 23
12. Faith is a Weapon of war : Like Dr. David Oyedepo said, faith is for fighting, not for talking and until you are a fighter, you can never be declared the winner. Paul wrote – Fight the good fight of faith. The kingdom of God suffer violence and the violent takes it by force. The force is the force of faith.
