A man is made up of spirit, soul and body. A born again man is a spirit being that has a soul and lives in a body.

Liberality, diligence and righteousness are the 3 main composition of a fat soul.

The liberal Abraham was also God’s exemplary figure of righteousness. This man was also a diligent worker that became rich in cattles, silver and gold in his days.

Leanness of the soul

In Psalms 106:15, we see how God sent leanness to the people of Israel in the wilderness because they lusted after meat.

Our request from God must be focused on His Kingdom and not on our own selfish desires.

It’s more blessed to give than to receive. A lot of people are experiencing dissatisfaction with their lives because most of them are not adding as much values than they receive.

Each and every human that appears on this planet is wired to come and offer a specific solution to humanity. When that person is not in alignment with his or her purpose, there can never be fulfilment.

To be lean in the soul is more devastating than physical emancipation. This is because the spiritual controls the physical. For example, a man’s spirit shall sustain his infirmity.

To escape leanness of soul and make our soul robust, our soul must make boast in the LORD. All His agendas must be our priorities.

The Word of God must also dwell in you richly.

You may be diligence, righteous and liberal, it’s God that makes a soul to be fat.

MESSAGE:

When I examine the nature of human beings, I can’t but marvel at the wonders of God and how He made everyone unique with different temperaments. 1 Corinthians 12 mentions different gifts that we operate in as God’s children, while other gifts include the gifts of giving and help. While some people find it difficult to give or to help someone in need, others do it effortlessly because that is how they are wired.

The same goes for the gift of gratitude, which I noticed in the life of King David. Right from his teenage years, while rearing his father’s sheep, he expressed constant gratitude to God everywhere he went. When the Ark of Covenant was brought into Jerusalem, he danced so much that his wife mocked him for dancing shamelessly in front of the people, however, David counted it as an honour to God. No wonder God had mercy on him and referred to him as ‘a man after my heart.’

Being grateful from a young age is an advantage because elders in Yoruba land say, “When a fellow doesn’t give thanks for the goodness done to him yesterday, it is synonymous with robbery.” Have you been robbing God and people by failing to show gratitude?

Don’t worry about your struggles now. It is just for a season. God, who has begun the good works in your life, will perfect it. So be patient. Allow the blessing to speak. Don’t quit! God is not through with you yet. Stop pitying yourself! You are extravagantly blessed! Stop being negative about your life. Be positive about your life. Step out and do big things for yourself. Dream big dreams! Don’t be afraid! You will succeed because of what you carry. “The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, And he addeth no sorrow with it.” (Proverbs 10:22 KJV)

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2023 MESSAGE:

It has been established that character determines destiny. Character affects potentials. Your character can bring either blessings or curses upon your life.

Previously, we saw how Reuben defiled his father’s bed and how that singular act brought a curse upon his life and generation.

In our Study today, we shall look at a major character flaw of Reuben.

Now, what is that character flaw that Reuben manifested?
Reuben operated with a lack of mentality.

He was not reasoning right, he wasn’t thinking correctly. He lacked mentality!

Reuben lacked mentality for sleeping with his father’s wife. Why did he not decide to go and marry at that point? The only woman he saw was his father’s wife. Nothing kills mentality like iniquity. Sin ruins sense.

Today, you see some people behaving senselessly and you will be wondering how they think. This is because their senses have been ruined by sin.

When you see a man who is married, but keeps other girls in five-star hotels and his wife and children are suffering at home, that is bankruptcy of mentality. There are some young unmarried men who are having serial immoral affairs; that is a manifestation of senselessness.

As a lady or a married woman, you have no sense if you go after either married or unmarried men. Iniquity makes you senseless. But that shall not be your portion in Jesus’ Name.

REMEMBER THIS: Nothing kills mentality like iniquity. Sin ruins sense.

Nothing seemed extraordinary about Jesus’ appearance in the synagogue for worship; He did it regularly as did all male Jews. The day in our text was very different, however; it was a classic case of, “Cometh the hour, cometh the man”.

How should the book of Isaiah have been chosen for reading amongst all the prophetic volumes present in the synagogue that day? And how should Christ have been the One chosen out of all the worshippers to read it? How should He have “found the place where it was written” – exactly the prophecy concerning His messiahship just about to be unveiled? It was, beyond doubt, the divine hand orchestrating the chain of events. Christ knew it Himself. His graceful words and mighty acts in Galilee had heralded Him. Therefore, the congregation waited with bated breath. When He closed the book and uttered those nine immortal words: “This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears”, the Messiah had finally shown up. The hour and the man had met.

Christ had been paying the price for the anointing long before the day of His showing to Israel. By absolute surrender to the Father’s will and self-denial, He had prepared for the ministry. Jesus carried the anointing all through His earthly ministry. Upon His ascension to heaven, He promised the same anointing to His faithful disciples.

God needs men and women upon whom to bestow His anointing today. Nothing less will suffice to fulfil your God-given destiny. But how is the anointing obtained? You must be ready to walk the same path as Christ of whom we read, “For thou lovest righteousness and hatest wickedness, therefore God, Thy God hath anointed thee…above thy fellows.” The anointing is unique, but it is not cheap; it is for the earnest seeker, not the highest bidder.

Rhapsody Of Realities For Today’s MESSAGE:

Many still grapple with what the Lord Jesus meant in the verse above when He said, “…I will come again, and receive you unto myself….” Some think He was referring to the Second Coming or the Rapture, but that’s not what He was talking about in that verse.

To understand what Jesus meant, you’ll have to stay in the context and understand His message with your spirit, not with your senses. When you study the full chapter you’d observe that He continued the same interesting discourse till He got to the 16th verse where He said, “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever.”

The term “another Comforter” is the Greek phrase, “Allos paraklētos,” meaning another of the same kind. Jesus introduced the Holy Spirit at that point. Then He said, “…ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you” (John 14:17). How did the Holy Spirit dwell with them at the time? Wasn’t He supposed to come on the Day of Pentecost?

That tells us something. He wasn’t talking about the Holy Spirit alone; He was also referring to Himself! To drive that point home, He went back to what He said in our theme verse, “…I will come again, and receive you unto myself….” Then in verse 18, He said, “I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” How and when would He come to them?

In the 20th verse, He said, “At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.” What day was He talking about? Evidently, He was talking about the day when the Holy Spirit comes. So, when He said, “I will come to you,” He meant “I’ll come to you in the Holy Spirit.”

And thanks be unto God! On the Day of Pentecost, He fulfilled that precious promise: “And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance” (Acts 2:4). He’s in you today in all His fullness. Praise God!

PRAYER

Thank you blessed heavenly Father for the fullness of the Spirit in me and the glory and excellence of my life as a result of your indwelling presence. By the Holy Spirit, my faith is strengthened and stirred to do the will of God and fulfil God’s purpose for my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Mercy is the compassion or forgiveness shown towards someone who deserves punishment. The Bible says it is by the mercy of God that we are not consumed.
It is interesting how often we relate to God. Many are not really sure who He is. We think we know but we don’t often know. God is not part-mercy; He is the embodiment of mercy. God is everything mercy could ever hope to be. He is full of compassion.

The mercy of God has the capacity to delete your name from the register of untimely death. Mercy has the capacity to move you from minimum to maximum. It has the capacity to remove you from the back and place you ahead of others. God is not partial but He shows Mercy to whomever He loves. Mercy operates on the coin of love. In Romans 9:13 “As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.”

When mercy speaks, your error will be overlooked. When mercy speaks, you will be loved by everybody, including your enemy. When mercy speaks, procedure will be suspended for your sake. Mercy has the ability to put things on hold until you are ready. I pray for you today, the mercy of God will be your companion, in Jesus’ Name. It is mercy that opens the door of forgiveness. Mercy is what has joined us all together as believers in spite of our differences. Therefore, we should be ready to forgive people, show them compassion, kindness and love, just as God has shown us. Let mercy have its way in all that you do.

The benefits of the mercy of God include peace, love, joy, and complete fulfillment in life. It is the mercy of God that turns a mess into a message to reach the dying world. When the mercy of God is at work in a man’s life, evil judgement has no power over such a person. When mercy is in place, your rightful position is not just given to you but sustained forever. When God’s mercy is in place, forgiveness becomes easy. When mercy has forgiven you, then Grace will pick you up for sweatless and flawless victory in life.

If you want to enjoy the mercy and grace of God continually in your life, you must come to the throne of grace and be crucified with Jesus.

I have come to understand that the difference between the right and the left hand is more than their positioning on our bodies. For example, in Matthew 5:30 when Jesus was talking about everything you must do to make sure you don’t miss heaven, He said, “If thy right hand offend thee…” He could easily have said, “If thy hand,” but He obviously emphasised the right hand because of its importance. In Genesis 48:8-20 when Jacob was to bless Joseph’s two sons, he deliberately placed his right hand on the younger son and the left on the older son. As a result of this, the younger son became more blessed than his elder brother (Deuteronomy 33:17).

Now, if the right hand of a man is that powerful, then you can imagine how powerful God’s right hand is since we were made in His image (Genesis 1:26).

Psalm 17:7 says that God saves by His right hand. In other words, when a sinner is snatched from the jaws of hell, it is God’s right hand at work. This is why you must pray for God to raise His right hand on behalf of all your family members that are not saved. Furthermore, Psalm 139:10 says that He leads by His right hand. Isaiah 41:10 says that God also upholds with His right hand. After He has saved you and led you with His right hand, He will also keep you standing with the same right hand.

In Exodus 15:6, the Bible says that His right hand is not just powerful, but also glorious in power. This tells us that God fights with His right hand. In Exodus 15:11-12, the Bible says that His right hand swallowed the enemy. In Mark 14:62, the Bible tells us that the right hand of God is the right hand of power. The right hand of God is also where you will find joy and everlasting pleasures (Psalm 16:11).

Beloved, you should note, however, that only the redeemed can be at the right hand of God (Matthew 25:34). If you are not yet born again, you better surrender your life to Christ now because those who are at God’s left hand suffer greatly. They are the ones who weep and gnash their teeth because of the evils they experience. Give your life to Christ today and get on the right-hand side of God.
